Veeam Backup & Replication protects VMs (vSphere/Hyper-V/Proxmox/AHV), physical and cloud without agents where possible: the proxies move the data (hot-add/NBD/direct SAN), the repositories keep it (with ReFS/XFS block cloning the synthetic fulls cost zero), the application-aware processing makes SQL/Exchange/AD consistent, SureBackup verifies the copies by powering them in a sandbox, the instant recoveries mount the VM straight from the backup in minutes.
