Cloud@Customer brings the Exadata to your house but managed like cloud: Oracle owns and maintains the iron, you consume databases by subscription from the OCI control plane — with Autonomous available on-prem. Data stays in your perimeter; the iron's lifecycle stops being your problem.

Cloud@Customer: the control plane and your constraints

Exadata Cloud@Customer brings the Exadata iron into your data center with the control plane in OCI: Oracle manages infrastructure, patches and hardware (Gen2, connectivity via secure tunnel), you manage the databases — or have us manage them. Data never leaves the premises: sovereignty is physical; billing is OCPU consumption with online scaling. Autonomous Database can run on the same machine.
