UCS brought the network's logic into compute: servers are defined as service profiles (BIOS, firmware, network, boot) applicable to any iron — replacement or expansion is a matter of minutes. UCS X: the recomposable blade

UCS X-Series is modular: the X9508 chassis hosts compute nodes and GPU nodes connected by X-Fabric, service profiles abstract the server's identity (MAC, WWN, boot, firmware) making the hardware interchangeable, Intersight manages the fleet from the cloud with HCL checks and proactive advisories; the fabric interconnects bring unified fabric (converged LAN+SAN); the profile model makes replacement or scale-out a matter of minutes.
